If you have a wannabe princess, knight, mermaid, or queen then a reservation at the hugely popular Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is probably high on your wish list for Magic Kingdom.
Our very own princess and knight love a royal makeover and we’ve visited Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique a number of times! We wanted to share our guide to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom – it includes everything you need to know about the Bibbidi Bobbidi experience including how to get a reservation, is it worth it and our tips and tricks to help make your experience even more magical.
What is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a royal salon located in Fantasyland in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Young guests can enjoy a magical transformation into princesses, knights or whatever their heart desires.
With the help of the enchanting Fairy Godmother apprentices, a lavish sprinkling of glitter and the magic of a final Bibbi Bobbidi Boo spell, an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a magical experience!
The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Experience:
Appointments at Bibbibi Bobbidi follow the same format. These are the details from our most recent visit (summer 2023):
Check-in: our appointment was at 8am which is prior to Magic Kingdom opening. Guest with an appointment time prior to park opening can access Fantasyland via the walkway at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square (the entrance location can move so ask a cast member if you can’t locate it). There is a cast member at the entrance who checks reservations before granting access to go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
We then checked in at the front desk of Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique and my 4-year-old chose her royal title – Queen E, the Princess Mermaid!
She was given a menu outlining the different packages, dresses and hairstyles and this kept her entertained until we were called through to the boutique. You can wait until you are in the boutique itself to make a final decision on the package.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: the boutique is beautiful and stocked with a wonderful selection of dresses, knight costumes, accessories and shoes. E had chosen a dress (a pink dress featuring all the princesses!) before we traveled but she still enjoyed browsing! We paid for our package, the Castle Package (this package does not include a dress), and waited for a changing room to free up.
Changing Rooms: the changing rooms are beautiful and there is a magical moment where the Fairy Godmother appears in the mirror.
Castle makeover: after a short wait, we were invited over to the Castle for the royal transformation. This is another beautiful space with high ceilings and royal decor.
E had her hair, make-up and nails done in a cloud of glitter, hairspray and gems and her royal transformation was complete with a final declaration of Bibibbidi Bobbidi Boo!
How to get an appointment at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
In our experience, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is one of the hardest reservations to get at Walt Disney World. This is especially true of morning appointments. However, with the right planning and tools you can nearly always get your desired appointment time – we’ve been lucky with reserving appointments on the day they are released, with getting a cancellation in the lead-up to our stay and have even grabbed an 8am slot the evening before a Magic Kingdom day!
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom tip: on our most recent trip (summer 2023) our reservations included Cinderella’s Royal Table, Ohana, Topolino Terrace, Space 220, Oga’s Catina, Roundup Rodeo BBQ, Storybook Dining at Artist’s Point and the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party. Early morning at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was by far the hardest reservation to secure across all those extremely pouplar restaurants!
Here’s what you need to know:
- Advance reservations: for guests with a Disney Resort hotel reservation, advance reservations for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique open at 12am 60 days + the duration of your stay (up to a maximum of 10 days). For all other guests, reservations open 60 days in advance starting at 12am EST. It’s fastest finger first so prepare your preferred appointment dates and times in advance. If the reservations are not open at 12am, keep checking – they can sometimes open within the next few hours.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom tip: if you are based in the UK, this is usually 6am (although it can be 5am in the weeks around the clock changing so make sure to double check!).
How to book Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique from the UK/outside the US?
Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique is part of Walt Disney World’s Enchanting Extras collection (a collection of special add-ons including VIP firework dessert parties, park tours, the lightsaber build at Sabi’s Workshop and special animal encounters at Animal Kingdom).
Unfortunately, guests outside the US can’t reserve these through the app like regular dining reservations. Instead, they need to speak directly to a Cast Member.
This works fine for some of the Enchanting Extras but it’s really not a great option for Bibiddi Bobbidi Boutique where the slots book out within seconds of being released. For Bibbidi Bobbidi Boqtiue we recommend using a VPN so you can reserve yourself.
Using a VPN for Reserve Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
To reserve Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique from the UK/outside the US, you will need to have a VPN – a VPN is a connection that allows you to choose your location so you can appear to be in the US and hence, have the opportunity to reserve Enchanting Extras like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique online!
Choosing a VPN: we use Express VPN and Nord VPN (I like ExpressVPN, Dave prefers Nord VPN!) any time we log onto a public connection so we always have a VPN during our travels. They both offer monthly subscriptions and often have free trial periods so are easy to activate for your 60-day dining window opening.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom tip: we don’t recommend using a free VPN because you are sharing your data. There is no guarantee that the safety features are up to standard or your information may be sold.
If you miss out on the 60 day drop
Don’t stress, you can still get a cancelation. Here’s how we pick up cancellations:
- Dining Alerts: dining alerts are a Walt Disney World essential and we recommend signing up to Mouse Dining. You sign up, set alerts to your desired reservations (e.g. 8am Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table) and, as soon as a cancellation is made, the dining alert service will alert you via email and/or text so you can reserve it immediately. We rely heavily on dining alerts in the run up to all our Walt Disney World and Disneyland California trips and we’ve always been able to secure a reservation. We’ve tried a few services and always return to Mouse Dining as their alerts are super speedy and reliable – Mouse Dining has a free service (email only, 6 alerts) but we use the monthly subscription ($9, email and text alerts, includes international texts) in the months leading up to our Walt Disney World visit. If you want one of the highly sought after reservations like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or Cinderella’s Royal Table then we’d recommend the paid monthly subscription as you can set up alerts for all your planned Magic Kingdom Days and we always notice the text alerts instantly. Make sure to practice with an easy to secure reservation so you know the exact process – this is essential as Bibbidi Bobbidi reservations are snapped up almost instantly! – check out Mouse Dining here!
- Last Minute Availability: if you don’t manage to secure a reservation before you arrive at Walt Disney World, there is still hope! Some guests wait to the evening before to cancel a Bibbidi Bobbidi appointment and, if you are really lucky you might pick up a reservation. We tried this on our most recent last minute visit and, over our 5 Magic Kindom days, we managed to get an 8.15am reservation for our final morning. However, we failed to get a reservation on the same day as Cinderella’s Royal Table so it isn’t a strategy we’d rely on.
What are the best appointment times at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Our favorite appointment times include:
- Early morning appointment: we love an early morning appointment as kids have the entire day to enjoy their Royal makeover. There are lots of opportunities to meet the Princesses in Magic Kingdom and Epcot – most meet and greets run until the late afternoon.
- Prior to dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom: if you are lucky enough to secure a dining spot at Cinderella’s Royal Table we recommend trying to get a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation earlier on the same day so you are all set to meet your Princesses in style!

- Prior to dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot: a royal makeover is the perfect prerequisite if you have a date with the Royal princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom tip: Cinderella’s Royal Table is extremely popular and you will need to reserve as soon as possible. Guests with a Disney Resort Hotel reservation can make reservations 60 days + length of stay (up to 10 nights) in advance. All other guests can make reservations up to 60 days in advance, with reservations opening at 6am EST 60 days out. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is also very popular but we find it easier to get reservations in the lead up to our stay.
Tips for getting a reservation at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
- Make a list of preferred dates and appointment times and a backup list of other acceptable but not ideal appointment times
- Set a reminder for the12am EST opening 60 days out from your desired reservation (or 60 days + the duration of your stay, max 10 days, for Disney Resort hotel guests)
- Reserve the moment your reservation window opens
- Sign up for Mouse Dining and set text alerts for your preferred days and times if you don’t get your favored appointment times.
- If you arrive at Walt Disney World and still need an appointment then check availability every evening – we find most cancellations are made the evening before or even in the 48 hours before.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Magic Kingdom tip: if you are a Disney Resort Hotel guest and want to align your Bibbidi Bobbidi appointment with Cinderella’s Royal Table then remember you can reserve Enchanting Extras including Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at 12 am 60 days + the duration of your stay (up to a maximum of 10 days). This means you can reserve Bibbidi Bobbidi a few hours in advance of the dining reservations reservations opening up at 6am EST. You have to prepay Cinderella’s Royal Table at the time of your reservation but there are cancellation options so make sure you read the terms.
What to do after Bibibbi Bobbidi Boutique?
We have so many suggestions!
In Magic Kingdom:
- Sir Mickey’s: Sir Mickey’s is a shop in Fantasyland and an absolute must after Bibbidi Bobbidi. Not many guests know that there is a photography studio in Sir Mickey’s and you can capture some gorgeous shots after the royal transformation in Bibbidi Bobbidi. There is a wonderful castle-themed backdrop, princess-themed props and PhotoPass photographers on hand to capture the moment.
- Fairytale Hall: Tiana, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Elena greet guests at Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland.
- Princess Meet and Greets: many of the Princesses host meet and greets in Fantasyland – Merida, Snow White, Mulan and Ariel have all been greeting guests in recent months and you can meet Belle at Belle’s Enchanted Tales. - Cinderella’s Royal Table: reserve a table at Cinderella’s Royal Table later in the day and dine with the princesses. We met Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White, and Ariel on our most recent visit.
In Epcot:
- Princess Meet and Greets: From Anna and Elsa in Royal Sommerhus and Aurora, Mulan, Jasmine, Belle and Snow White in the Pavillions, Epcot has so many opportunities to meet the Princesses.
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall: the Norwegian family-style dining experience features an array of Royal Guests – typically Belle, Snow White, Ariel, Tiana and Aurora are in attendance although other Princesses can stop by.
Is Bibidid Bobbidi Boutique Worth it?
We definitely think so! It’s a really special experience and every kid leaves with a massive smile on their face. If you look around Fantasyland on any given day, you will spot so many Bibbidi Bobbidi princesses having fun closely followed by their parents capturing endless photographs of the day!
My 4 year old loves visiting Disney and her three favorite things are ‘Dumbo, Minnie Mouse and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!’. She remembers every detail of her visits to Bibbibi Bobbidi Boutique in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland California and adores being pampered. The hair, the glitter, the face gems, the nail polish… everything!

What ages can visit Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Kids must be between 3 and 12 years of age and be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years of age or older.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique: I’ve seen some questions about what happens if a child turns 3 during your Walt Disney World vacation but doesn’t have a theme park ticket (if a child turns 3 during their vacation they don’t need a ticket as they are considered to be under 3 for the purposes of the stay). The responses were mixed (some say as long as you have proof that your child is 3 then it is fine, others say they need to have a ticket). It is best to check with Walt Disney World directly in this case.
Do I need to reserve Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in advance?
Absolutely! In the entire time we’ve visited Walt Disney World, I’ve only seen walk-ins advertised outside Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on one single occasion.
How much does Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique cost?
It is dependent on the package you choose.
- Carriage Package ($99.95 + tax): this includes hair, makeup and face gems, princess sash and Bibbidi Bobbidi reusable bag, nail polish, t-shirt
- Castle Package ($199.95 Plus Tax): this includes hair, makeup and face gems, princess sash and Bibbidi Bobbidi reusable bag, nail polish, t-shirt and Disney princess gown and accessories
- Deluxe Castle Package ($229.95 Plus Tax): this includes a signature gown, hair, makeup and face gems, princess necklace and sash and Bibbidi Bobbidi reusable bag, nail polish and accessories
- Princess Signature Package ($450 Plus Tax): this includes a signature gown, garment bag and satin hanger, a tiara, hair, makeup and face gems, princess sash and Bibbidi Bobbidi reusable bag, nail polish, and a deluxe Disney princess gown and accessories
- Disney Encanto Package ($179.95 Plus Tax): this includes hair, makeup and face gems, princess sash and Bibbidi Bobbidi reusable bag, nail polish, t-shirt and a Mirabel or Isablea gown and accessories

Is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Boys and Girls?
Yes! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is for everyone and guests can choose whichever package they prefer.
Can I bring my own dress/costume to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Yes! Many guests arrive with their own attire and the Castle Package is perfect if you don’t want to purchase a dress on the day, it’s entirely up to you!
It can often be less expensive to purchase in advance (try ShopDisney and Amazon for ideas), you can work to a budget and you don’t have to worry about the availability of sizes – sometimes Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique can get low on stock of popular sizes and run out.
If choosing the dress in-store is likely to be important to your child then you might want to wait and choose on the day. We saw some kids walk in and fall in love with a completely different dress than the one they had purchased in advance and this can be difficult to navigate in the middle of the experience!
Some worry that the experience is not as special if you are not choosing a dress in the boutique – we brought our own dresses to California and Florida Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and our mini royal has been just as excited as when they were able to choose a dress in the store.
How long does the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience last?
We’d recommend budgeting around 2 hours all in. On arrival you will be asked if you have any reservations within the next 2 hours. Our appointments have lasted around 90 minutes.
Firstly, you will check in and your child will be given a menu to browse the available packages and hairstyles. Then you will be taken through to the store to choose a dress and/or accessories if required. After another wait, you are invited to the changing rooms to get ready and, finally, you are taken over to the Castle for your royal transformation to begin.
Do I need a park ticket to attend Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Yes! Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom and only guests with a ticket can enter the park.
Who can attend the Bibbi Bobbidi appointments?
Space is limited in both the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and in the Castle where the makeover takes place. Two guests are permitted to attend the appointment alongside the younger guest taking part in the experience.
I attended with our 1-year-old (who mostly slept in her carrier, strollers are not permitted and must be parked outside). During the appointment, we had a surprise visit from Dave and our eldest who dropped by with a beautiful Rapunzel wand from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to gift to our princess. It was really quiet at the first sitting and they didn’t stay long but the Cast Members did state they could only stop by briefly.
Is there a PhotoPass Photographer at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Yes, there are PhotoPass photographers present during the Castle makeover and the photos are added to your Memory Maker. They photograph throughout the makeover and return to capture the final part where the royal transformation is revealed in the mirror.
Can I book double/triple appointments?
Yes, if there is availability. These appointments are easier to reserve on the release day as you can enter the number of guests and reserve for multiple kids at the same time.
After the initial drop is fully booked, you are then relying for cancellations. At this point, you will likely only get single slots which you will have to align as closely as possible – this can be quite difficult to secure!
Do I tip the cast members at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?
Tips are not required but they are appreciated and cast members in Bibbidi Bobbidi are allowed to accept tips – if you do plan to tip, make sure to bring cash as tips cannot be added to the credit card payment.
We always tip as we consider it to be the same as a regular hair/ barber appointment where giving a tip is standard in the US. The Fairy Godmother’s Apprentices do a wonderful job and work really hard to make the experience special for everyone.
If you are not sure how much to tip, I’ve seen tips of $10 to $20 suggested.
