Is meeting a Disney Princess at the very top of your little one’s Disneyland Paris wish list? Same here! The Princess Pavilion in Fantasyland is one of the most magical experiences in the park and also one of the hardest to access!
We’ve visited the Princess Pavilion lots of times with our kids, and when it works, it’s genuinely magical. In 2026, the big thing to know is this: you don’t queue for hours anymore but you do need to secure a Virtual Queue slot in the app. This guide will show you exactly how to secure a spot, what to expect inside, and what to do if you don’t get a slot.

What is the Princess Pavilion?
The Princess Pavilion is a castle-inspired meet-and-greet location in Fantasyland (Disneyland Park), where you’ll meet one Disney Princess in a private room within the Pavilion. You’ll have time for photos, a chat and an autograph.
It’s one of the most popular character experiences in Disneyland Paris — which is why the booking can feel a bit intense.

Note: Frozen’s Anna and Elsa do not meet at the Princess Pavilion. They have a separate meet and greet in World of Frozen in Disney Adventure World which can be reserved via the Virtual Queue system. You can read our full guide to the Virtual Queues at Disneyland Paris and our guide to World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris for more details.

Princess Pavilion in 2026: Virtual Queue (how it works now)
The Princess Pavilion runs on Virtual Queue via the Disneyland Paris app. Instead of physically queueing for hours, you book a return time in the app, then when your time comes you’ll join a much shorter physical line at the Pavilion.

For families, this is both a win and a challenge.
The win is obvious: no more 2–3 hour queues with tired kids. Once you’ve got a reservation, you’re typically looking at a short wait on arrival, and you can spend the rest of the day enjoying Disneyland Paris.
The challenge is that the slots usually disappear in seconds. The only way to consistently succeed is to treat it like a mini mission: be ready, be fast, and know exactly where to tap!

Virtual Queue drop times
At the moment, the Virtual Queue slots for the Princess Pavilion drop at 9:45am and 2:00pm. Always double check the app on the day, because timings and availability can change and it’s impossible to predict what will happen when World of Frozen opens in March.
One important thing that can catch people out: everyone in your party must have their tickets scanned into the park before you can book for them. Otherwise, they won’t be able to attend the meet and greet. The only exception is children under 3 as they don’t need their own ticket and don’t require a reservation in the Virtual Queue – however, they can still attend the meet and greet.

How to actually get a slot (our real-life approach)
We don’t rely on park Wi-Fi. We use mobile data, have the app open early, and we’re already on the Princess Pavilion screen before the drop time.
A little tip that makes a big difference: one adult focuses on the booking while the other keeps the kids busy. Trying to do Virtual Queue while also wrangling small children is not ideal!

We also try to manage expectations in the kindest way possible: we don’t tell our kids we’re going to meet a princess until we’ve got the slot. It removes a lot of pressure and disappointment if we can’t get a slot.
And if you miss the morning drop? Don’t spiral. Try again at 2:00pm, and keep an eye on the app in case of cancellations (rare, but it does happen).

What happens when your time comes?
When the countdown hits zero, head to the Princess Pavilion in Fantasyland. Cast Members will check your reservation, then you’ll join a short indoor queue. Even that queue is part of the magic — it’s atmospheric, detailed, and much easier when you’re only waiting a little while (not so much when I think back to queueing in this cramped space for hours!).

Then it’s your turn. You’ll be invited into a private room where a princess is waiting to meet your family. The interactions are rarely rushed. The princesses are warm, patient, and genuinely brilliant at matching your child’s vibe — whether that’s excited chatter, total awe, or stunned silence.
Which princess will you meet?
The Princess Pavilion is a surprise meet. You won’t know who it is until you’re called, and the lineup rotates.
The Princess Pavilion hosts most of the Princesses – we’ve met Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Snow White, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Ariel (in her princess look), Tiana, Mulan and Merida in 2026.

Pocahontas, Asha and Raya are unlikely to feature on the Pavilion line-up.
Remember, Anna and Elsa do not meet inside the Princess Pavilion. They are finally hosting their own meet and greet – read our full guide to World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris here. If Frozen is the priority, plan that as a separate must do.
If you can’t get a slot
If meeting Princesses is non-negotiable, the least stressful alternative is one of the Princess Dining experiences at Disneyland Paris. You’ll get photos, autographs and character interaction without the frantic 9:45 AM and 2:00 PM Virtual Queue tapping!
Auberge de Cendrillon hosts the Princesses in their traditional gowns and is open from breakfast through to late afternoon. You’ll usually meet multiple Princesses at your table. Breakfast typically includes 2 Princesses plus Mickey Mouse, while lunch and dinner usually include 3 or 4 Princesses depending on the day.

La Table de Lumière is the royal dining experience inside the Disneyland Hotel, where you’ll usually meet 3 Disney Royal Couples during your meal. Reservations are officially exclusive to Disneyland Hotel guests, although occasional last-minute availability can sometimes appear or be booked via City Hall.

Regal View Restaurant in Disney Adventure World offers a slightly different Princess experience, with some Princesses appearing in their village outfits rather than full ballgowns. Recent line-ups have included Princesses such as Mulan, Belle, Ariel and Aurora in alternate costumes alongside a traditional-gown appearance from Merida or Jasmine.
Belle also currently appears outside the Old Mill in Fantasyland during parts of the afternoon, although times can vary and it’s not guaranteed daily.

If Princess Dining isn’t in the budget, your next best Princess fix is the entertainment. Princesses appear throughout both Disney Stars on Parade and A Million Splashes of Colour. It’s not the same as a meet-and-greet but my little ones absolutely love simply waving to the Princesses as they pass by.

Our honest take
The Virtual Queue system has made the Princess Pavilion far more pleasant once you’re in but it’s now more competitive to access in the first place. If you treat it like a quick daily challenge, you’ll give yourself the best chance of success.
Our family strategy is simple: try hard for Virtual Queue, keep a calm Plan B, and make the princess meet a surprise wherever possible. When it happens, it’s one of those memories your child will talk about for years.

How long does the meet-and-greet take?
Return times vary – we’ve had everything from 30 minutes to 4 hours when we’ve secured a spot in the Virtual Queue.
Once it’s your turn, you’ll usually spend around 5 to 10 minutes with the princess. The total time from entering the Pavilion to exiting depends on the day and the short physical queue. We’ve waited up to 30 minutes but it’s typically 10 to 15 minutes.
Can I take my own photos?
Yes. Take as many as you like. There is also a PhotoPass photographer in attendance.
Do the princesses speak English?
Yes, they’re used to international guests.
Is it suitable for children and toddlers?
Absolutely!
Is it accessible?
Yes. However, note that in 2026 there are no Virtual Queue accommodations for those with a Priority Pass. All guests use the same Virtual Queue system via the app.
